Charles JohnCOOKEPassed away peacefully on 22nd December 2025, aged 89 years.
Beloved Husband to his late wife Anne, and much-loved father to Kevin, Darren, Andrew, David, and Alan. John was a dedicated and long-standing employee of the BSA on Montgomery Street, where he worked for many years and was a well-known figure among his colleagues. In his retirement, John remained a familiar face in the community, often seen out on his daily walks with his faithful dog, Suzie. He will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends.
A service to celebrate John's life will be held at Robin Hood Crematorium on Tuesday 27th January 2026 at 12:00 pm.
Family flowers only, please. In honour of John's love for animals, donations in lieu of flowers are being collected for the RSPCA. A collection box will be available at the service.
